I strongly believe that Yoga and Nutrition education should be accessible to everyone. I am extremely grateful to be able to participate in and contribute to many community service projects that make yoga and nutrition available for all. I strive to serve a diversity of people who may not otherwise have the opportunity to learn about yoga and good nutrition. But, in particular, I love working with children.

Girl Scouts

Through my involvement with the Girl Scouts, it is my belief that these young girls have discovered a greater sense of self esteem through yoga. Through breathing, balancing, stretching and strengthening, they are learning how to create a sanctuary within themselves in a time of life often characterized by peer challenges. I sincerely hope that learning yoga in adolescence will alter the courses of their lives and help them to acknowledge true value within themselves.

The Children's Hospital

As an employee of The Children's Hospital, I am involved in numerous projects which allow me to share the gift of yoga with children who are affiliated with the hospital. Some of the children I teach are physically, mentally, or economically challenged – this makes their participation in yoga even more valuable as a coping tool for serious illness or other difficult circumstances. The Children's Hospital employees I teach yoga, meditation and nutrition education to through various programs are the cherished caregivers to many children. The importance of them taking time out to care for themselves cannot be underestimated.
